NewArch Homes has become the latest registered provider to adopt the Sustainability Reporting Standard for Social Housing (SRS).
NewArch is owned and managed by Octopus Investments, part of the wider Octopus Group which includes Octopus Energy.
Jack Burnham, Head of Affordable Housing at Octopus Investments said: “We have adopted the SRS as we want to be transparent with our partners and investors with what we are achieving in this sector.
“Sustainability for Housing (SfH) has created a clear and informative framework that allows us to demonstrate the difference we are making through our affordable housing strategy, which has ESG considerations at its core.
“With NewArch, our Registered Provider, we have a responsibility to provide quality, affordable and well-run homes for those who need them, and the framework helps us work towards this goal and to communicate this in a consistent way to the industry.”
Brendan Sarsfield, Chair of SfH, said: “SfH would like to welcome NewArch to the ever-growing SRS community.
“NewArch’s adoption demonstrates that the SRS is versatile and can be applied to different models and types of registered providers. We look forward to working with NewArch going forward.”
