Valleys to Coast has become the latest housing provider to adopt the Sustainability Reporting Standard for Social Housing (SRS).

Valleys to Coast was established in 2003 as the first large scale voluntary transfer of council-owned homes to a social housing association in Wales. It manages and provides over 6,000 secure and affordable homes across Bridgend, South Wales.

Huw Lewis, Executive Director of Finance and Corporate Services at Valleys to Coast, said: “We’ve adopted the Sustainability Reporting Standard for Social Housing (SRS) at Valleys to Coast to ensure our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance is transparent, consistent, and measurable.”

“By aligning with the SRS, we are strengthening our commitment to sustainability, improving our ability to attract investment, and driving positive outcomes for the communities we serve. This framework helps us demonstrate our impact across key areas like climate change, affordability, safety, and inclusion, ensuring we remain accountable and focused on creating a better Bridgend and Wales.”
