Bield Housing & Care has become the latest organisation to adopt the Sustainability Reporting Standard for Social Housing (SRS).
Bield is a not-for-profit and a registered charity which provides housing and support for older people in Scotland. It has over 4,600 properties in its portfolio across 22 local authorities, making it one of the largest housing and care providers for older people in the region.
Debbie Collins, CEO at Bield, said: “Bield Housing & Care are delighted to become an adopter of the Sustainability Reporting Standard. Our new Strategic Asset Management Strategy sets an ambitious 10 year retrofit and development programme.
“By placing our tenants and others service users firmly at the heart of what we do we will work to provide modern, greener and cleaner places for people to live and work. Reporting on ESG credentials is essential to delivering our strategy, enabling us to demonstrate our commitment and aiding how we secure the finance required deliver our aims on our journey to Net Zero.“
