Foundations has become the latest organisation to endorse the Sustainability Reporting Standard for Social Housing (SRS).
Foundations UK is the nation body for Home Improvement Agencies, handyperson services and disabled facilities grant (DFGs).
Paul Smith, Director of Foundations, said: “We endorse the SRS because we believe that more accessible homes will be more sustainable homes. As the national body for Disabled Facilities Grants, we see the value in investing in long-term accessibility solutions over temporary fixtures.
“This not only reduces waste and frequent modifications but also enhances the well-being of residents, ensuring our communities are both adaptable and sustainable for the future.”
Brendan Sarsfield, Chair of SfH, said: “We are pleased that Foundations has endorsed the SRS.
“Foundations play an important role in making homes across the country fit the needs of the people living in them.”
