Earlier this month, I was invited to speak at LD Events’ Affordable Housing Investment Conference.
During the ‘how can the social housing sector reach the highest standards of ESG?’ session, I highlighted the shift from ESG to impact measurement and a growing recognition and emphasis on good housing as the foundation of a good life.
I also gave an update on the development of Version 2 of the SRS, which will be launched for public consultation on April 3.
The Standard is being updated to better align with Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), Investment Association guidance and relevant government policy and regulatory frameworks including Net Zero commitments and biodiversity net gain.
Version 2 of the SRS will continue to enable lenders and investors to understand the ESG performance of delivering quality, affordable, sustainable homes.
I would like to thank LD Events for inviting me to speak at this important and timely event and I look forward to continuing the discussions around investment in affordable housing.
