Shettleston Housing Association has become the latest organisation to adopt the Sustainability Reporting Standard for Social Housing (SRS).
Shettleston is a Scottish charity and community-controlled housing association operating in the east end of Glasgow. They provide quality, affordable homes as well as deliver services to the local community. Founded in 1976, Shettleston currently manages 2,445 rented homes and delivers a factoring management to 350 privately owned properties.
Tony Teasdale, CEO of Shettleston, said: “The Shettleston Housing Group is committed to building sustainability into how we work to help make Shettleston a greener and better place to live.
“We see the Sustainability Reporting Standard as a really useful framework for measuring against and reporting on our progress. We are delighted to join the network of Adopters and to be able to learn and benefit from the experience of others.”
Brendan Sarsfield, Chair of SfH, said: “We are pleased to welcome Shettleston to the SRS adopters community.
“We are proud to see that Shettleston sees the value of the SRS in progressing their sustainability strategy, and we look forward to working with them in their development.”
