Community-based housing association, Soha, has published its first Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) report in accordance with the Sustainability Reporting Standard for Social Housing (SRS).
Oxfordshire-based Soha has more than 7,000 homes covering a variety of housing types including rented homes, shared ownership and extra care housing for older people.
Nasreen Hussain, Director of Finance and Resources at Soha, said: “Our ESG report consolidates our awareness of our environmental and social impact so that we can focus our attention on how we can continually improve in these areas.
“It also demonstrates to our stakeholders how we are already engaged around ESG and will continue to do so in the future.”
Brendan Sarsfield, Chair of SfH, said: “SfH would like to congratulate Soha on producing its first ever ESG report.
“Soha has shown that the Standard can be applied to organisations of all sizes and geographies and we hope to see more medium to small housing associations do the same this year.”
